Constant value while syndication

Hello Experts,

I want one destination item to always have constant value 'ABC' while sydicating the data.

I do not want to add an additional field in the repository table to achieve this.

How can I have a fixed value for a particular destination item field while creating a syndication map?

    Hi,

    To acheive this just follow the below mentioned steps

    1.Go to syndicator.

    2.cleck on custom item tab

    3 right click on custom items section and give the name to that item and in formula section just double click and put the constant value that you want to put.

    4. just save the custom item

    5.this item appears at the source item side in item mapping

    6. map this custom field to the destination item.

    in this way you can acheve your requirement

      when I double click on Formula, syndicator window suddenly gets closed.

      When I open Syndicator again and perform the same steps, the window gets closed after double clicking Formula.

      Any idea why this is so...?

    In Destination Item Tab, You have property like Static text, here set it with that fixed value(constant) which will resolve your Problem.

      Hi,

      In SAP MDM 5.5 SP4 static option available at destination item i think problem with MDM syndicator GUI Application i would suggest reinstall the MDM Syndicator Application

      to add custom item at source side follow the step

      1. Click on Custom item tab

      2. Right Click on custom item and select Add Custom Item

      3. select custome item and double click on properties once cursor blinking type the value which you want pass as static

      4. Click on Item Mapping Tab select custom itam at source side and map with destination side

      Note : if Sydication application getting closed due to double clicking on custom itam properties i would suggest restart the windows or reinstall MDM syndicator Application
