Dear
Batch determination and availablity check are two different aspect.Basically , Availablity check (OPJJ) will be at material master level and configured NOT as plant specific .Availablity check can be performed for Production Order avaulablity check ( depends of OPJK configuration with order type and plant to automate system to perform ATP) as well as Sales Order fulfillment -SD avilablity check to confirm the delivery .
Where as batch determination which is interlinked through Batch search stategry ( either as order type level ) with condition type (COB1) aginst movement type /plant /order type combination .
Do you mean to say wether any availabity check happens during batch Determination ??
It would be bettre if you re-frame your actual requirement ??

The availability check is always performed when you do the batch determination. It is the standard routine inside SAP.
When you click batch determination, the ATP is performed automatically. It will use the checking rule per your transactions. For example,
- if you click batch determination in production order, the availability checking rule per your order type (setting in config of production order avail check) is used.
- If you click batch determination in sales order, the checking rule A is used (hard code by SAP).
- If you click batch determination in delivery, the checking rule B is used (hard code by SAP).
- If you click batch determination in MM, and the avail.check rule in movement type or transaction code are set then that will be used. Otherwise only unrestricted used will be available.
Hope it helps.
Dear Nagesh,
Batch determination is used to determine available batches based on selection criteria maintained in class characteristics. System will list out all batches according to selected characteristics values in classification.
Can you explain what problem you are facing in detail.

Pavan
