Release Strategy IMP

Dear Guru's

please let me know about release strategy

let me tell you that one strategy is already implemented in the system

but when i define my own new strategy then system : when i assigning my newly created class "XYZ" to Rel group 2 : system showing me the eroor msg and when i create the new group 03, its not allowing me to assign my new class to new rel. group

Please advice

    For puchasing document, only one class can be used. Please see attached

    note 365604.

    " You are only allowed to use one class for each release object

    (1=PReq, 2=Purchase order). When you use the overall release (as

    of Release 4.0A), you are only allowed to use one class for the

    overall release or individual release.

    Overall release and individual release is not possible in the

    same document."

    Message ME492 is issued if more than one class is assigned to release

    group.

    1) As the long text of the message says,

    this message is issued when you assign a release group to several

    release classes, and this is not possible, you have to use only one re

    lease class within the release groups without overall release.

    You should assign the release groups that were created for overall

    release to ONE RELEASE CLASS ONLY, and assign the release groups that

    were not created for overall release to a different release class. P. e

    Example:

    Rel. group, Rel. obj., Overall rel., Class , Description

    01, ,1, ,_, FRG_EBAN, Group 01

    02, ,1, ,_, FRG_EBAN, Group 02

    S1, ,1, ,X, FRG_GF_EBAN, Group S1

    S2, ,1, ,X, FRG_GF_EBAN, Group S2

    2) If you have followed all the indications of the long text of the

    message and the error is still displayed, please try to create the

    new release group via the 'New Entries' button.

    "Please note that the functionality of the release strategy for having

    multiple currency code is not available. The characteristics maintained

    in the release strategy can only have 1 currency code.

    The system will do a currency conversion based on the doc. currency and

    the currency entered in the release strategy and if it falls within

    the range then the strategy will be applied to the PO. So it shouldn't

    matter what currency you enter in the characteristic."

    For POs you do not have overall and item releases. For POs these are

    only overall releases. You can only have one class for PO releases.

    The customer may not use different classes for PO releases.

    PO, RFQ, Contract and Schedule agreements all use the same class.

    It is not possible to have more than one class define in the release

    strategy but it is possible to define difference characterics within

    the same class.

      u have to assign class to charact

      so

      CL -032 class will be assigned

      characteristics 1,2,3

      then u will have say 3 release stratagy

      R1

      in this character 1 say document type NB

      char 2 say value

      char 3 say purchase group x

      R2

      in this character 1 say document type XYZ

      char 2 say value

      char 3 say purchase group a

      R3

      in this character 1 say document type ABC

      char 2 say value

      char 3 say purchase group A

      R4

      in this character 1 say document type ABC

      char 2 say value

      char 3 say purchase group X

      so when ever ur PO document will satify any condition of any release startagy that rel st will be applied

    Hi,

    Just use one release class for individual document. One release class for Purchase Requisition, one release class for Purchase Order & One release class for SES. You cannot use two release classes.
