IDES installation

Dear experts,

My boss just came by and asked me to install a IDES environment. After what I could find its a environment for testing SAP modules.

But my question is, is it a instance you install and then you can testrun ex CRM or SRM and after testing you can reset it and maybe try out a HR solution?

What does IDES require hardware wise? And where can I find the installation? If anyone has usefull links (I couldnt find any, but I might have been looking wrong places) about IDES it would be awesome 😊
