Availability control

Hi gurus,

We have implemented funds mgt availability control in public sector mgt-former budgeting.

For the above case, multiple GL accounts are assigned to 1 commitment item, hence, the control only available at commitment item level.

Now, we are looking to implement the availability control (fr expense & capex item) at GL acct level instead. Can any expert advise how to do this? Shall we implement Internal order? How is the internal order works?

Hi,

You are mixing things... Internal order budget control is managed in CO and has nothing to do with your requirement to have control on the level of G/L account. But, you can perfectly achive this in FM. Just rebuild your FM structure, creating instead of one commitment item, the number of entities which correspond to G/L accounts. Define the proper derivation strategy for this and that's all.

Thanks for the info.

Can you tell me what is the diff. b/w internal order budget control and FM budget control?

Our FM budget control unable to tell me how much is the amt spent for the fixed assets(CAPEX).
