Web Intelligence Viewer

Hi All,

Just want to know if we have some tools that are available similar to Crystal Report Viewer for Web Intelligence? Currently, we are planning to create a report in Web Intelligence (since it has the fold/unfold functionaliy and also ability to have multiple reports in a single Webi Document) and then schedule it and sent to the user through email.

The user that received the data is an external user that we need them to be able to only view the report offline.

Note: The choice of sending using Excel seems to take out some of the formatting and also PDF seems to always convert it to potrait kind of format.

Thanks

David Yee

    Hi,

I'm sure pdf works in landscape, we send documents like this all the time.

Just check that the report was set up with the proper page orientation

(set it to display in page mode, so you can see what it looks like when printing,

this is the format the pdf generation uses).

Another thing to check is that there is a printer driver installed on the server there webI server is running.

With scheduling it doesn't have the printer from the browser available, so it needs to be on the backend server.

    Hope this helps,

    Marianne

P.S. the WebI Rich Client needs a logon to the CMS if the document was sent in a secured mode.

The universe it only needs with a refresh...

As far as IU know there is no officiall SAP tool that will enable you to see WebI reports in the native WebI format. You can try the WebI rich client but I think that you will need a local copy of the universe in order to be able to display the report at all.
