Cannot add Navigational Attribute in Agg level

Hi,

I have actiavate nav attributes in cube and also in multiprovider. In planning modeller, under infoprovider tab, I can see all the navigational attributes under "Navigatinal Attributes" tab. But I am unable to include them in the agg level. Is there any setting?

Hi,

You can't select navigational attributes in aggregation level teh way you can select characteristics and key figures. If you include a characteristic in aggregation level then all it's navigational attribute which are active at infocube level will be automatically available in input-ready queries which are based on that aggregation level.

I want to copy only customer group "E" data into the planning cube. Customer group is navigational attribute of customer and is activated in the multiprovider. How can i do that if i dont have option of including customer group in Agg level?

and

In infoprovider tab; Change, Display, Save button are deactivated. I cannot do anyting under characteristics relationship tab. I have the data in the planning cube. Is that the reason y change, display and save buttons are inactive?

You can copy the dtaa using FOX .

Check if your cube is in Plan mode then the buttons should be active in planning modeler. The presence of data doesn't affect the button display.

Hi,

Its on multiprovider, Which consists of actual cube and planning cube. When i only select planning cube, then its allowing me to change or create characteristicss relationship.

But my planning is based on multiprovider.

Hi.

You should include 0CUSTOMER to aggr level and then in filter you will be able to see and restrict also nav attrs of 0CUSTOMER.

Thanks. I could see the nav attributes in the filter. In filter for company code, I have selected variable and when executing the planning sequcence, I entered the company code and clicked on "Execute".

I got error saying that "Null values "RFC_system_error. Why do i get this error?

And

Why cant i create characteristics relationship on the multiprovider even thought i have real time infocube in MP?

You can't create char relationships directly on multiprovider. It has to be only on real-time cube.

Also, check if with the filter selection that you have provided any reords are getting selected for the planning sequence.

In most of the planning scenarios, multiproviders are used.

Ex To copy the plan data to actual especailly nav attributes data from actual to plan. then can you tell me what is the purpose of just having characteristics relationship on plan cube?

2. I have restricted year and month in the filter but there are not variable. only compnay code is variable. I am not sure y i am getting that error

Hi,

Char relationship created on plan cube will be applicable to all multiproviders that contain your plan cube. Char relationship can be created only on plan cube - this is a rule of IP.

check for the variable value of company code, year & month in your filter there is data in cube.

Hi,

I have two actual cubes and two plan cubes.

I created chara relationships on the plan cube 1. Then created copy planning function from actual cube to planning cube. I can see the attributes of product derived in the plan cube 1. (This i did for demo purpose)

Now

I did the same thing for plan cube 2. This didnt work. Product attributes did get derive in my plan cube. I did everything same as cube 1. But didnt work. This is my real time data and cube.

What might miss?
