Error ME021 when using one-time vendor in partner role VN

Hello gurs,

our SAP is customized to automatically create partner role VN in POs.

For some reason this did not work in two POs for one-time vendors. Now, when I try to create that role manually and give the one-time vendor number, i get the error message:

One-time vendor not defined

Message no. ME021

Diagnosis

It does not make sense to allow a one-time vendor in this situation.

Procedure

Check the vendor number you entered.

But there are literally dozens of other POs in our system with the same one-time vendor used in role VN.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

    Dear,

    Check any changes made to vendor account group for which the vendor created. If any changes made this error will appear.

    Meantime, if you search the forum entering message in search criteria you will find relevant solved posts.
