Work Schedule Rules

Hi all,

The employees in the organisation are having diffrent shifts in a month (e.g. in a manufacturing org employees have shift rotation). How can I apply the work schedule rule in the configuration of IT 0007?

Any input is appreciated.

Hi,

You will have to create a Period Work Schedule. In there you define the daily sequence in a week for each complete Shift. It could be as long as you need. A period work schedule will last until the first week is repeat. It does not matter if it is too long. You can create as much as you need and assign it to any employee.

As mentioned by Edoardo, you can create a Periodic Work Schedule for the number of weeks that your cycle runs.

You should see at least one example in V_T551A (if I correctly remember the table's number), but here is one I'll make up:

week 1 DAY DAY OFF DAY DAY DAY DAY

week 2 OFF EVE EVE EVE EVE EVE EVE

week 3 OFF OFF NITE NITE NITE NITE NITE

week 4 NITE OFF OFF OFF OFF DAY DAY

Work Schedule Rule SHIFT1 would follow that PWS, beginning on 2010.01.04,

Work Schedule Rule SHIFT2 would follow that PSW, beginning on 2010.01.11,

Work Schedule Rule SHIFT3 would follow that PSW, beginning on 2010.01.18, and

Work Schedule Rule SHIFT4 would follow that PSW, beginning on 2010.01.25
