Why TR is required for storing data in the database table

Hi,

I created one Z table and then created table maintenance generator.

when I try to enter data in the table now, system is asking for transport request.

I donu2019t understand why system is asking for TR.

Can anyone tell me what could be the reason?

Thanks,

Baski

Baski,

while creating table maintenance generator you have selected standard recording routine which allows to transport the entries to diff systems.

Thanks

Hi,

Can you let us know what type of Table you have created. If the table is a customization table, then it might prompt for the entries which you have created in the development system. And those entries are needed to be shipped as a part of the standard delivery and needed to be shipped from the Development System to the Quality System and later to the Production Environment.

Check the kind of table that has been created. I guess all the entries are getting locked against a TR because of that.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Samantak.

Hi ,

See whether the server client is OPEN or not?

1) goto : SCC4 transaction. Double click on the current client number.

2) See the options that are selected

Must have the following to avoid.

Changes without automatic Recording (Radio button) and see the other options in the next dropdown.

If the client is OPENED, then you will have to work with Basis team to close that.

Hope this clarifies your problem.

Thanks
