CoCd XYZ is not mapped with S.Org 123 but still system allows to create customer for CoCd XYZ

Dear Experts,

Kindly guide on the below requirement.

Existing:
S. Org 123 is assigned only to Co Code 999 (in SPRO settings)
S. Org ABC is assigned only to Co Code XYZ (in SPRO settings)
When we try to create a customer for S. Org 123 using Co Code XYZ, system allows.

Expectation:
System should not allow to create a customer using the company code XYZ which is not mapped with S. Org 123

Hope you understand, if not. Then let's understand this based on SAP ERP Tables point of view.

    For customer master,

    • General Data is w/o org unit (KNA1).
    • Similarly, Customer Company Code Data (KNB1) is related to financial related data.
    • Whereas, Customer Sales Area data(KNVV) is related to Sales related data.

Though KNA1 is related to KNB1 & KNVV.
But, KNB1 not directly related to KNVV or vice versa.

    Moreover,

"if the Customer is created with company code XYZ and S. Org 123".

Then, in that case, the system will throw an error for missing company code data.

Thus, Customer Sales Area and Company Code Data are 2 independent records, dependant on general data.

    Thanks,
    JP

SAP will typically allow extension of customers to any company code and/or any sales org.

If you have a specific requirement that a customer from one sales org should not be extended to company code which is not linked to that sales org, then need to check with your developer if any validation can be created in transaction BUPT.

Path BUPT -> BP-> Control -> Screen Layout -> Views -> further checks.

Other option is manual periodic control by running reports and identifying any such business partner and blocking / marking it for deletion.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks
