Clear Negative Inventory from Plant/Storage Loc

Hello,

We have some negative Inventory for a Material which is no longer being used in a PLant / Storage Location. What would be a good way to clear this Inventory .

The negative value is due to GI wrt an Old Reservation which has been generatd from a Prod Order.

I am trying to find a good way to clear the negative Inventroy from the Plant/storage location.

    the best way would be to discuss with production and finance people on the adjustment.

    negative inventory is physically impossible, hence you probably missed to record a receipt in SAP.

    You have to analyze in your organisation which one was missed.

    In any case you can clear a negative inventory by posting a receipt or doing a cancellation of a goods issue.

    A physical inventory is not possible.

    Thanks Jurgen,

    That is correct. Only the documents are really old year 2000 and currently only the gr makes sense . I was planning to use MIGO - Gr with mvmt type 202 and ask FI to write off . Are there any other options ?

    Appreciate u'r reply BACK. I have not worked with PI documents extensively , but is it possible to create a PI doc for a negative stock in the system.

    Can you give me some idea on why would this process be better than just posting a GR and write off in FI ?
