Hi Hari,
NWDS 700 supports only and only JDK1.4.
Release | Operating Systems | Java Runtime Environment | Java SDK
-
7.0(X) | Windows XP 32 | 1.4 | 1.4
7.1(X) | Windows XP 32 | 1.5 | 1.5

Hi Ervin,
Thanks for the clarification. Since the SAP NW CE 7.2 requires SAP JVM 6.1 (as mentioned in the PAM), I thougt it would only go with JRE/JDK 1.6. In addition, the Installation Guide - SAP NW CE 7.2 - Developer Workpalce also specifies JDK 1.6.
Can we use a mix: e.g. NWDS using JDK 1.5 and AS using JDK 1.6 (for NW CE 7.2)?
Best regards,
Dao

Hi Dao,
yes, for 7.2 server side you need to use SAP VM 6.1 (it is like a JDK1.6 provided by sap) and on the client side for your NWDS I suggest to use JDK1.6 (or JDK1.5). So on client side i believe you can use either this or that, on server side on the other hand you must use SAP VM 6.1.
Best Regards,
Ervin
Hi Hari,
NW 7.0x.xx do not support JDK 1.5 - Only NW CE 7.1x support JDK 1.5, because NW 7.2x go with JDK 1.6, I believe.
