Maintain Master Data: Error Language DE not in system

Hi Everyone,

I'm currently working on my Masterthesis using a freshly installed SAP BW7 2004 system. When I try to create an Infoobject Master Data entry by hand the system doesn't allow me to do it with the language key DE.

Message: "Language DE not in system"

The help for the problem suggests to add the language to the T002 table. I checked that and DE was there.

Help appreciated on this topic.

Jens, try to log in in German language (set De in Log on screen) and enter your master data again.

thanks for the quick response. I usually work logged on using the german language set and actually just wanted to get the proper error description in english. Therfore there must be another reason.

Jens, Follow-up with note: 42305 - RSCPINST (I18N configuration tool).

To make it short: Via ABAP report RSCPINST you can add language that you need. In your case German one.

I18N worked. There was an inconsistency with the languages.
