Need a way to identify certain employees?

Hello colleagues,

I need to have some employees identified, is there any infotype where I could flag them, a field, or something in order to recognize them when reporting?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

What kinf of employees do you need to identify? In IT0001 you many options (employee group, sungroup, area, payroll area, etc.) In case none of those work for you, you can check in every infotype you have any field you consider you won´t need for something else and use to identify the employees you want. Anyhow, the standard way would be in IT0001 troughout the employee subgroup, employee group, employee area or any other field in IT0001.

Hope it helps.

Thank you Edoardo:

We just need to flag a group of emploees for a short time, they can be from any group/subgroup area/subarea of employees. I was thinking too in infotype 0001, but I didnt find anything to solve my request

Best regards

Hi

In Infotype 0001 use the contract field for entering the code and use it for reporting.

It has no repurcussions any where and the field is used only for reporting only.

Well, if it´s only for a short time in IT0001 may be a little unconfortable. It may be better to use any field you are not already using in any infotype that it´s not important for the payroll, like IT0032, 0185, 0105 or any other that won´t cause any trouble change in it.

Configure your flags into IT 0033 or 0034.

IT 0033 configuration is marginally complex, it requires configuration of a statistic type and a statistical exception.

IT 0034 configuration is comparatively simple, all you need to configure is a corporate function type. You can create a record for all employees you need to flag and enter free text values in the given field (if required). You can then report on which employees have the given record.

Hi Federico

Infotype 1 has field called organizational Key. You can use it as a way to indentify employees based on ur requirement just to work them out. It can also be used as an autorization field in P_ORGIN, so can also maintain authoriation based on this.

If u are using infotype 50 then in that also additional indicators and others are available. Just see waht suits our requirement,

Using a field, on an Infotype, that is currently unused by SAP is not a wise thing to do.
