How to configure the PCM for multiple layers cost assignment

Dear:

I am working for a telecom company using BO-PCM for ABC costing. In this company, they need to assign the asset costing to multiple layers of units. What I want ot know is how to define the cost object and resource driver to meet their requirement. Thanks

    Dear Gu Zheng,

    Could you expand on what you mean by multiple layers of units? If you mean making multiple levels of allocations, you can do that in PCM through the re-assignments function and/or the cascade of cost object dimensions. However, the number of reassignments and cost object member cascades can negatively impact model performance. At PCS Consulting, we try to minimize and many times eliminate the need for reassignments through alternative designs to accomplish the clients needs.
