PSAPSR3 Tablesapce Free(MB) 100%

Hi All,

From DB02 - Tablespace overview, i can for one of tablespace i.e PSAPSR3 the free(MB) is 100% but it also shows total space used is 91%

Please find below snap shot of DB02

Tablespace name PSAPSR3

Size(MB) 834,920.00

Free(MB) 2,197.13

Used(%) 100

Autoextend YES

Total size(MB) 915,040.00

Sum of all free fragments(MB) 82,317.13

Total used (%) 91

Number of datafiles 34

#Segments 320,905

#Extents 802,916

There are totally 10 datafiles each 10 GB i.e Total = 100 GB, out of which 83 GB is used size.

This is something we need to be caution and add more space ?

Please advice

    your scenario below says

Is 834 GB you have 2GB free. But the table can extend to 915GB

I would prefer u to check ur database growth over a period and take action if necessary. In case if ur database growth is rapid and in particular if the tablespace grows rapidly then u should consider increasing the free space to this tablespace.

As u have the tablespace in the auto extend mode u need to have an eye on the DB growth and the available hard ddisk to avoid any surprises.

      Hope this clarifies.
