SAP SAC 5.3 SP11 - New Feature, Delete All Requests

Former Member

Hello All,

I am very interested in this "New Feature" for our test system listed in note 1168508.

"NEW FEATURE - With this support pack, a new feature is delivered to

allow a user to delete ALL REQUESTS in CUP. This feature is

specifically designed to be used in a non-productive environment to

delete test data so that custom fields and workflows can be changed

or removed."

My question is how can I utilize this feature? I see no way of "deleting all requests".

Hello IanS,

Please raise OSS Message for SAP, They will provide you delete script. With the help this script you can delete all the requests from CUP.

They have also scripts to delete the entire Configuration as well and after that you can once again configure the CUP from scrape

Thanks,

Jagat

Obtaining a script from SAP doesn't seem like a "new feature". So this is not truely an option in the application itself?

Hi,

This feature is there in CUP, I am on SP11 and I have used it a few times now.(And it can be very useful!)

Did you import the latest files for SP11? IS the upgrade option avalaible to you in CUP?

If it is not avalaible under requests,I am almost certain, its one of the two.

.

Thanks,

Chinmaya

We just upgraded to SP12.1 Build (01072110)

I do not see an option under requests but I will double check.

I do have the "Upgrade" option. This is the first upgrade I have gone through. Our BASIS team upgraded the application. Were there scripts that were run through this tab to get it to 12.1?

FIXED I re-added all actions to the AEADMIN role in UME and now I see the new options.

Ok so I now have this option. I have tried to run the job several times and it fails each time. I have several cancelled requests in the system. Here are the logs if anyone has any ideas. I am thinking a delete script (as mentioned above) is my only option at this point.

HI Ian,

Just to be sure, Did you import the initial files for SP12 again?

Have a look at the post installation steps in this deck. They provide steps to be performed when upgrading a support pack in GRC 5.3.

Hi,

Even I didn't find any option to delete all the test data. Did you raise a request to SAP? Let me also look for the solution and I will post you as soon as I've an update.

Regards,

Raghu
