Change CMS check-in config without loading the list of SCAs first


By mistake I have added root folder of the filesystem to the check-in config in CMS as I thought that would look in /usr/sap/trans/CMS. This means that it tries to find all SCA-files from the root "/" and down. This also means that a timeout occurs before the view is loaded, so I can't get back into the configuration and remove the "/".

Is there some other place this check-in configuration could be changed?

    Hello Jacob,

    as discussed, the problem is resolved by deleting and re-adding the track.

    For future releases an extension will be created for the CMS Support Tool.

    Hi Jacob,

    the place to change the transport folder, is the CMS webui -- Landscape Configurator -- Domain Data tab.

    Here you set up the location of the Transport folder, and this will be your default Transport folder.

    Under it the subfolders like inbox (this is where you copy the SCAs for import), extract, log, archives, etc.. will be created automatically.

    On the top of that as you also mentioned you can configure other locations than the default one in the way you mentioned (using the feature "configure check-in" which is available in the transport studio of CMS webui -- Check-in tab).

      what do you mean by that you cannot get rid of the "/" check in path?

      I believe that the problem is not that CMS loads too long because you have specified "/". It is not searching for all the directories recursively starting out from the root folder. If your CMS starts "hanging" then I believe it must have an other reason.

      For that please check these files right after you reproduced the error:



      Check the time when you have pressed the "configure check-in" button (or the button you need to press in order to reproduce the issue) and then check the mentioned files at the same time. If you see any suspicious with severity error or fatal, let me know please.

      If it is fine and you still face problems that the SCs are not appearing in the inbox, then see this note:
