Notification Attachment Icon

Hi All,

Can someone kindly suggest whether it is possible to have the attachment icon separately inside the notification screen.

In the standard, we can see the attachment by clicking "Services for object" icon and then clicking the "Attachment List" icon.

Client wants to have the "Attachment List" icon separately inside the notification screen so that he can directly access it.

    Hi,

    You should be able to use the user exit available to extend notification header screen to to place a push button with icon on that custom screen that would call the same object services functionality.However it would be a duplication of the functionality and would probably not be worth the effort.

    Hello Vikas,

    Please check with your client if they are ok with action box feature. Your abaper might be able to code to present the list of attachments and open them (by reusing GOS functionality).

    You can also try Document Mgmt Services (DMS) by creating a doc and attaching it to an object. For ex. we create documents (transaction CV01N - type DRW) for our equipment master and attach a PDF with reference object (under "object link" tab). If you do this, everytime you create a Notification / Work order for that equipment, a new Icon will appear next to the equipment number and you will be able to view your files from there. If there are no documents maintained, there is no icon shown. I think this can be used for other objects such as FL but i've only used it with equipment.
