complete delivery flag ignored

I have a complete delivery flag in the sales order. If i try to deliver only one item from the sales order (VL01N), it works, the flag is ignored. Where could be the problem?

Thanks.

Seems its standard system behaviour. ( you have to tick " Complete order" & parital delivery per item=C)

Check :Tx: SE91 & message no: VL049 - will give clear description of the route cause.

Diagnosis

The indicator 'complete delivery' has been set in the order, meaning that all items relevant for delivery are to be sent in one delivery. This indicator is either copied from the customer master into the order header or is manually entered in the order.

Since it is not possible to deliver all items relevant for delivery in one delivery, the system issues an error message rejecting the creation of the delivery in the Sales Orders/Purchase Orders Worklist (VL04). If you attempt to create a delivery in transaction VL01, the system issues a warning, but allows the delivery to be created.

This may be due to one of following reasons:

1. The order has not been completely confirmed.

2. The order has been completely confirmed but the availability check in the delivery confirms only partial availability.

3. The data in the order triggers a delivery split that would distribute the order items among multiple deliveries. (e.g. different ship-to parties at item level, different routes, etc.)

Procedure

Check the order data. If collective processing has not been created in the delivery, you can do it manually with transaction VL01, though it will be incomplete.

Yes,

You can change the message type from "W- warning" to E- Error message.

To restrict: Tx:OVM1 - Message no: VL062 - Message TYpe: E- Error

Hi,

There are indicators at customer master level and other at sales header level or even at item level.

1. If we maintain complete Delivery at Customer master data level then whole of the document will trigger for complete delivery and partial delivery is not allowed.

2. If we maintain at Sales order header level again complete delivery is allowed for single item or all the line item.

3. If we maintain a Line item level for partial delivery for item, irrespective of the at header level item will be delivered as per the conditions maintained in header level.
