How to approve thought Maintenance Optimizer in SAP Solution Manager?

R/S all,

I need to download SAP support packages through download basket. It asking for Approval through Maintenance Optimizer.

How to do that? Need your help.

Hi,

If you are going to use Maintenance Optimizer for the first time, then some additional configurations also needs to be done.

You need to register your system in solution manager and also needs to create a Solution. You can find the details on how to do that in the below note and documents.

For the system registration in the Solution Manager, you may refer to SAP Note 172481 - maintain system in to SAP Solution Manager. Or access information at the following path on the SMP:www.service.sap.com/rkt-solman -> SAP Solution Manager 7.0 ->Technology Consultant and System Administrator -> Learning Map for Technology Consultants and System Administers -> Business Process & Solution Maintenance -> Solution Directory-Create Solution/Add Log cal Component

Once the above part is done, go to Tcode DSWP , then select the required solution[which was created earlier] Go to Change Management->Maintenance Optimizer and create New Maintenance Transaction.

Then you have to select the Solution and system and in the next screen you will get an option to approve/confirm files to download.

If you're in a hurry to get these packages approved, you can open a message under component SV-SMG-MAI-APR to get the packages approved as soon as possible.

Hi,

Login to SOLMAN, Go to Tcode DSWP--> Click on Change management > Maintenance Optimizer> Select the Maintenance optmizer transaction which will displyed in the list below --> In the new screen you will see the tab confirm the files in the download basket.
