SAP Web Dispatcher - How to avoid sharing userid / password with EBP?

Hello PI SDN community

We have a business case where we need to receive a transmission from an external business partner (EBP) over HTTPs, this message should be transformed into an IDoc using a PI interface.

Our current issue is on how to receive this data from the EBP, basically we have uploaded the digital certificates, created the routing rule on the Web Dispatcher (WD) so the public URL links to an internal URL (which expects the transmission over plain HTTP) and also created an special user so the web dispatcher can authenticate with PI.

Now what we want to avoid is the sharing of the userid/password with the EBP so they just post the data to the public URL and we create a rule on the WD that links it to an internal URL with the user credentials.

Is this possible?

    Hi,

I am afraid that this is possible or not..? but some try's are

    1) u can create an Anonymous user in java stack and give this to user.

    2) also copy of user J2EE_GUEST (which is anonymous) can be given.

    3) u can create a user of type communication user and give to other side with password. since this is of communication type they cannot login to your system.

    Regards
