Hi All,
Apologies if i have asked a basic question. We want to restore the online backup which is 2 days behind.i wanted to know the best practise for restore.
brrestore -u / -b bedalhls.anf -m full
Is this enough to restore the entire DB.I wanted to know why should we use -u option.Thanks.
-u / option is for user id in this case ops$
is the backup you are restoring is online or offline? do you want to roll forward until time or just want to restore the backup.

Hi,
You can restore with the command brrestore -b <backup log>.anf.
After restoring the online backup, it is must to recover the archive logs. Without recovering the archive logs ur DB will be inconsistent and hence u will not be able to bring up the DB.
Hope this clarifies.
