Hi all,

We are experiencing problems with Conntrans since upgrading to version 7.0 SP04

For some reason when using the Conntrans via the VPN it can take over an hour to start!

Does anyone know how to diagnose this issue?

regards

Barry

Hello Barry,

I advise you to please follow suggestions in Note 1022089 to see any

improvement in conntrans performance.

Additionally you may check Notes 1359107 and 1427978 here.

Please deactivate the EVNT_LOG_WRITE BDocs in all the latops in case

they're activated.

Thanks,

Rohit

Rohit

Thanks for you reply

I have checked the notes you mentioned but so far no joy

The EVNT_LOG_WRITE is flowing between sites but I can't find this in any subscriptions? to remove? How do I de-activate the EVNT_LOG_WRITE msgs?

Hi,

Pls check the sqlserver parameters like memory options, DB settings and remove other unwanted services in the laptop.

Also check the size of ides_log (path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data) if its huge then do the sqlserver defrag.

Hello Barry,

I believe you've raised a CSS ticket for SAP in this matter.

And I've updated the ticket with a detailed reply on how to deactivate the EVENT_LOG_WRITE Bdocs.

Thanks,

Rohit

Hi Rohit,

How is ConnTrans Initializing linked to bdoc, untill we start the sync in the Conntrans it is likned only to sqlserver n the hardware.

Pls correct me if i'm wrong.

Hi Shobhit,

Your'e right! Barry's question was related to Conntrans Initialization as well as the sync process wherein only EVNT_LOG_WRITE were flowing. So I had asked him to deactivate these Bdocs.

As for the conntrans initialization, it depends only on the network and the time it takes to connect to the commstation.

As multiple clients running conntrans connect to Commstation at the same time, it's better if Commstation can do a better job of handling multiple requests as a heavy load on commstation can take a toll on conntrans performance.

So notes 1022089 and 1255658 talk about improving the commstation performance.

Thanks,

Rohit

Hi Rohit,

Thanks for the information, i also faced similar issues earlier because of Commstation been limited to handle approx 25-30 req. only, the Commstation was the real culprit.

Shobhit
