How to avoid sending the same document for approval .

Hi,

i have created a worflow for approval purpose .when a document is sent for appove and its still in the workitem if the same document is sent for apprval .its triggering once again and another work item will be created, It will be of great help if i can get to know how to validate this .

Hello,

You could also try to figure out what's starting the workflw twice. Are you using events? If so, turn on the event trace.

Hi,

In a different workflow scenario I had the same problem that the WF could be triggered yet again when the process is still ongoing.

For that case I created a check FM on the event-->WF linkage to see with FM SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECT if active workitems exist for the same key and for the same workflow template.
