Error Tranferring Plan from COPA to FIGL (New)

Hi Gurus,

I am facing issues when I am transferring the plan data from COPA to FI-GL (New).

We are NOT using "Special Pupose Ledger"

It is giving me following error

Error Message No. GI748

"Due to Customizing settings, no ledger will be updated"

I have carried out the following steps:

a) Activate totals table FAGLFLEXT (for Planning) T.Code : GLPLINST

b) Import Planning Layouts from Client 000 T.Code GLPLIMPORT

c) Set Planner Profile for summary table FAGLFLEXT

d) Plan Document Type defined as P0

e) Number Range assigned to Plan document Type P0

f) Maintain Derivation of GL Accounts

Please let me know if I am missing anything.

    Did you assign plan version to your ledger and fiscal year 2009/2010

    Hi,

    Error GI748 for CO-PA / NewGL planning data transfer is normally issued due to the inappropriate processing instruction specified in Trx.KE1Z (definition whether characteristic is to be retained or summarized).

    Characteristics 'Company code' and 'Controlling area' must be always kept as retain in case of transfer to FI-GL.

    Please check your variant at Trx.KE1Z and see if this resolves the problem.

    In addition, please implement note 1056459 and 1009299.

    Also check if you have maintained company code info in your setting. This is a must.

      Hi Abhishek,

      Thanks for the response though i figured that out.

      But I am not able to understand what that option signifies, as there are no proper documents for this with the detailed step.

      Initially i was using Summarisation at Controlling Area, company code and profit center, interpreting that while transferring system will summarise at this combination but then I thought of executing it without selecting anything for summarisation. To my surprise it worked. 😊

      But still I am not clear about the summarisation function.
