Version management of appraisal documents in Performance Management

Hi All,

I'd like to know if there is any functionality or psosibility for version management in Performance Management (EhP4). For example, during an appraisal status (e.g. In Preparation) is it possible for there to be a version for each change to the doucment made by a manager, such as a change to objectives or goals etc?

Many thanks in advance,

Luke

    Hola Luke:

The short answer is no, not without some super unnecessary customization. But, this is why SAP invented the action log for an appraisal document, right? It doesn't do version control or anything, but it does at least let you know when things are changing.

I mean, you could create a customization to duplicate an appraisal document behind the scenes in some kind of similar (but not the same) appraisal template where you could go back and reference later that was triggered everytime you hit the save button. You'd have to account for circumstances of employees having multiple templates for the same period, but I said a similar but different appraisal template so you could always have your one main template you were operating off of.

But honestly though; if it came to that, I'd rather just suggest a customization to turn every reference to the letter A and calling it F.

Good luck man - hope it doesn't come to a point where you're customizing for that one.

    Chris
