COPA document number range nearly full for record type B

Hello Gurus,

In our production client, our COPA document number range is nearly full for record type B which is postings from FI. I can not extend the number range as the next few ranges were taken by other groups. What should I do? Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You can try changing the number range object COPA_IST (CO-PA actual line items) to be fiscal year dependent by activating 'To-year flag' within transaction SNUM. To do this, you have to delete the intervals and put them back.

Thanks for the reply venkata. What are the ramifications of this change in Production. I will do this in sandbox anyway. However, if I delete the number ranges and create new number ranges, what happens to the documents that were posted already with the existing number ranges? Isn't it going to cause problems? Please advise.

      Thanks

    Hello,

    it won´t cause any problems.

Former line items can be selected and used as before.

It has been resolved by creating a new group and assined that to the existing one. Thanks everyone.
