Indirect valuation

Hi,

We have updated the revised salary with the start date of 01/09/2010 in the table T510(Maintain PSG and levels) for a specific Payscale Area,Payscale type,Payscale group as a fixed amount for the wagetype Basic & Conveyance.

The wagetype characteristics in the table T511, having the indirect valuation INVAL A

After move the above config to production server, the employee master data in PA30 updated automatically with the revised amount in the past payroll period before 01/09/2010. How the amount changed in the Past payroll period even we maintained with the start date of 01/09/2010 in T510?

I don't want to change the past values in the infotype record with the revised amount, If anybody guide me, is there any config is missing.

Moreover, there is a BADI - HR_INDVAL where you can change indirect evaluation algorithm.

We are using R/3 v.6.00 and I have encountered the same problem as you are. After continuous debugging I found this:

Amounts for 0008 IT are gotten from tables T510 or T710, depending on PA0008-CPIND value (we have the indirect evaluation). And there is a mysterious parameter in the V_T77S0 with GRPID = 'PCOMP' and SEMID = 'BPIVT'. Parameter name is GSVAL and the value is 'S'.

If GSVAL = 'S', then amount in 0008 IT for past period equals to amount from T510/T710 for current period.

So, try to change GSVAL to any other letter, for example 'T', and this should solve your problem.

Hi Salil,

I have reversed the changes, then I checked the infotype 8, it seems the old value value has been restored in the past dates. Now we uploaded the revised amount through LSMW and updated the infotype 8 from 01/09/2010.

Now I have planned to move the changes again to Production.

Hi Raja,

Thanks for your reply,You have uploaded data from 01.09.2010 in IT 0008 and you have reversed the earlier settings which shows the previous data is OK in system.

Now you are again making changes and trying to push it to PRD system is it?Then kindly check 'cause when you change the amount of wagetype in T510 may be again your previous record will get affected.

If it works fine and you are through with this do kindly let me know.

If the employee's IT0008 is valid from 01.12.2006 up to 31.12.9999 and that the indirectly valued salary changes on 01.09.2007, 01.09.2008, 01.09.2009 and 01.09.2010, the amount shown on IT0008 will change (on screen) would be the one that is valid "today".

That is why we tell our users to create a "Salary Grid Change" measure as of the date of the changes in T510.

Can you kindly elaborate on the Salary Grid Maintainence, i too am having same issue in IT 0008 which changes Past data with new values even though the wage types are delimited with dates.

After moving the config changes to production, did you also update the IT0008 record for the affected employees effective 01/09/2010? I am thinking the issue may be because of the IT0008 record not being changed in production.
