Purchase Requisition xxxxx can not be released by xx

Dear Experts,

We have a Purchase Requisition where Release strategy is seen from N1 to N7 ( N1,N2,N3,N5,N6,N7)

Some Other PR previously made having same strategy could be released.

We are getting error "Purchase Requisition 1100010455 can not be released by N1"

This PR has value of Rs.70 Million & Release strategy "3J" is showing in Release tab , which is for highest value.

release strategy "3J" had been assigned to other PR in the past also , where no such problem occured.

SU53 Dump of the user shows "Authorization failed for N1 " , but in system Basis consultant has found that the User has authorization to release for that release code.

One PR made before this PR & one made after this PR is having no problem.

Please Advise what can be the reason & solution.

Sorry, we are not able understand the Issue from your explanation. If the release strategy and group picked up are correct, Please delete the PR line item and add again and check the release process.

Your question is not clear. You mentioned you have Release strategy from N1 to N7 ( N1,N2,N3,N5,N6,N7) & also you mentioned Release strategy "3J", it confusing.

Ok.

I believe you have Release strategy "3J" & Release code N1 for your PR to release & PR has value of Rs.70 Million. You also said One PR made before this PR & one made after this PR is having no problem on release.

You have option to check are following:

Option-1: Check in t.code: SU53 for that user for missing authorization for which value.

Option-2: Check & compare the values in PR which he released already with the current unreleased PR. The values defers may be sayu2019s example plant, purchase organization, purchasing group etcu2026( check all values in release characteristic in CT04). I am sure there will be some difference between released PR & current unreleased PR. Also check the value more then or equal to Rs.70 Million is defined & designed in release procedure & value is there in release strategy "3J" & same value is represent release code N1 and user ID assigned to N1 release code.

Dear All,

My apologies for mistake , N1 to N7 are Release Codes & 3J is the release strategy for the Highest Value Range . I will check the Values assigned to 3J & will revert back soon about what I find .

The PR was in Held condition , & not saved . That is why it was not getting Released by code N1 itself who had created it .

when you are trying to release the PR you are getting error, after that Go to SU53 trxn code, it will show you the missing authorization.

Whether system picked correct release group or not in the PR?
