Variant Configuration.

Hi all,

We are planning to use variant configuration for purchasing of trading material as material is having different combination of colour & sizes.

I made following configuration and setting.

1) In material type of HAWA - trading goods, made it as configurable

2) Created characteristics for colour with Table name as SDCOM & field as VKOND and assigned values such as Red, Blue, Black

3) Then created class with class type 300.

4) Assigned characteristics to class

5) Created material.

6) In mat master assigned class in classification view and in Basic Data 2 view assigned configuration profile.

7) Now when creating PO, its allowing to select values from red, black, blue etc from Item detail Material tab.

8) But when we do the GR, at no place tab or option is showing for these values.

So can anybody explain what may be the problem.

Regards

    sapsarang,

By configuring on PO on material tab, what exactly do you do. Looks like there is no Bom items to pick, neither it is a subcontract PO. So what is the purpose of Variant config on purchased part? Just wondering....

    thanks,

    Ram
