Workflow stopped at initial stage with msg 'No Agents'

Hi,

I am using the standard workflow leave module, when i create a leave request through PTARQ it triggered a workflow and stopped at initial stage.

i went to workflow log and executed it manually then it is moved to approval process step and stoped with msg 'no agents available', instead what can i do to the process tha works without my interaction.

i made all the tasks as general task already.

Check if all your foreground task are changed to "General TAsk".

Hi,

"No agents available" - means that a task is to be completed by an agent but the agent is not available.

Say, you have submitted a leave request ans it has to be approved by your supervisor but unfortunately the system cant find your supervisor.

You can follow one of the 2 approaches -

(1) In the standard WF you go to task and give the agent user ID (eg. your User ID) and save it. In the entire workflow wherever the tasks are there (exclude backgroud tasks) assign the agent temporarily for testing puprpose. But since this is the standard WF so it is not advisible to change the same. Dont forget to remove ur agents after testing is done.

(2) Else.Just copy the standard WF and attach that workflow to the triggering event. In the task, you can give agent name (Say your userID)

Hi Debi,

I have given my user id for all the process steps , but the problem is workflow is stopped at the beggining itself with message no agents, if i go to the workflow log and exucete it manually then it came to my in box.instead can't it process on its own?

So in the workflow log, you were manually completed one step, right? what is the use of this step? is it a background step or a dialog step?

Whats is the business object used in this step? In a standard leave workflow the first step[After the condition] will be a Approver step. Have you changed this workflow and added any custom steps?

Yeah still facing some probs

The workflow created from PTRQ is stopped in the begining , means between workflow started and processing of request (the immediate step after workflow started).

i am using the standard workflow 12300111.

Hi Kishore,

The step 'processing of request' is just a condition step type. You cannot execute this step. So in the workflow log which step you completed manually?

Have you added any step in the workflow? In the leave standard leave workflow, after this condition there is no bakground steps. It will come immediately to the Approval step.

IN the workflow log, please check each level and find the exact step where the workflow got Hanged.

Also please check the leave configuration also. In the spro, Approval required check box should be marked.

Can you check once whether SWU3 is fine or not ?

Check with SWI5 report whether it is coming to that User or not. I think Problem is there with BASIS setting. Check with them with respect to SWU3.

One more input: Goto SU01 check WF-BATCH user details ,Check in Default tab, Output is immediately checked or not.

*Infact , in one system,i am also facing same problem.:(
