Personnel Actions

Hi All,

Am trying to configure Actions in IDES 5.0. I have followed all the steps correctly but still i cant see my Actions & Action Menu for UGR 40. The steps are :

SPRO - IMG - Personnel Mgt - Personnal Admin - Customizing Procedures

1. Infotype Menu

a. User Group Dependency on Menu & Infogroups

b. Infotypr Menu

2. Actions

a. Define Infotype Groups

i) User group dependency on Menus & Infogroups

ii) Infogroup

b. Set Up Personnel Actions

c. Create Reason for Actions

d. Change Action Menu

i) Usergroup dependency on Menus & Infogroups

ii) Action Menu

Can someone pls guide me as to where i am wrong??

Hi,

Infogroups and Userids are linked through Usergroups.

Kindly check TCode -> SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Customising Procedures -> Actions -> Define Infogroups

Also, Check Parameter ID UGR in System -> User Profile -> Own Data

If the above two values are same, then kindly check whether the Reference User Group Field in the Infogroup for each Infotype is 40 or not. If not maintain 40 there

Dear Kiran,

as instructed checked the config - The UGR is 40, MOL is 40 & the reference user group maintained is also 40. Yet i can see the actions & action menu in PA 30 / 40.

What more i need to do or whr shud i correct my config? Pls help

Hi,

Kindly check whether you have maintained your Infotype groups (hiring, Transfer etc) in the table V_588B_M for the Intotype Menu 01 Actions

Also, kindly check whether you have maintained Ref Usr Grp in table V_T588C for the menu Action.

Cross check your configuration with this example......you need to change the config according to action type.

Actions

1. Define Infogroups -> User Group Dependency on Menus and Info Groups

Menu Text usr grp depen Ref.

XX Hiring selct check box 40

2.Infogroup ( Select XX) ......... enter User group 40, No 01, Infotype 0000 etc...

3.Set up Personal Actions - > Personnel Action Types ... here enter Action type YY , Name , FC 1, Empmnt 3, spec 1, Select 4 check boxes ,IG XX , select U0000 and U3020.

4.create reason for personal actions

5.Change Action Menu -> User Group Dependency on Menus and Info Groups

Menu Text usr grp depen Ref.

XX Hiring selct check box 40

6.Action Menu (select 01) .....Enter User group 40 , no 01 and Action YY.

Make sure you have maintained MOL and UGR in transaction SU3.

Hi Mohan,

Thank u for the valuable inputs. i am able to config half of the actions correctly but the other half is still not done. With all the inputs frm the experts my PA40 i.e. the Action list is being displayed correctly. The problem is with the other half i.e. PA30 - the first part of configuring Personnel Actions. When we go to PA30 we see the diff menus & under each menu we have list of Infotypes. I have configured that but its not being displayed.

My config is :

SPRO - PM - PA - Customizing Procedures

1. Infotype Menu

a. User Group Dependency on Menu & Infogroups (here i created Organisational Data & Time Data under Menu Type 'I')

b. Infotype Menu ( for the menu created above i entered all the infotypes belonging to tht menu)

For the above i have taken UGR 40 & also Ref User group as 40

Pls guide me where & how shud i correct my config. Any inputs are highly appreciable.

Infotype Menu

User group dependency on menus and info groups....enetr Menu xx ,text ,user grp dep , ref.

Infotype menu select menu xx and enter usergrp, no and infotypes

Configure Determine choice of Infotype Menus

User group dependency on menus and info groups ....enetr Menu xx ,text ,user grp dep , ref.

Infotype menus...select 01 and enetr user grp, no and menu xx.

Hi,

I am new to sap hr....is full&final settlement comes under personnel actions? if yes how we configure "when the employee leaves the organization, his PF,ESI etc should be paid to him and his payroll run should be stopped..

Maintain the same user group in SU3 and config part of actions.

ii) Action Menu 

In this step double click and enetr action menu 01 and enter UGR and actions .

I have maintained MOL as 40 & UGR as 40. Still my Actions & Action Menu arent displayed in PA30 & PA40

Wht shud i do??

Dear Pearl,

Kindly check your System Parameters i.e. in SAP easy Access go to System>>User Profile>>Own Data,here click on the parameters Tab and check MOL & UGR your Country grouping and your user group enter here and save and then go back to pa40 screen and check your actions.
