I'm fairly new to the Crystal Reports, and had a basic question I was hoping someone could help me with. We are using Crystal Reports XI to distribute reports from our accounting system, American Contractors, which has a FoxPro database. We have been using ODBC & then OLE DB drivers to connect from Crystal. I don't have any problem accessing the tables and creating reports, but I wanted to know if there is any way to access the data views that were built into the database/accounting system program. American Contractors has a built in reports designer based on crystal, so I was wondering if there was any way to access them. Or is there no functionality built in for this? Sorry for such a basic question.
I had the views checkbox checked already, but I hadn't thought about the permissions. I have full permissions to the database and the folder, so that doesn't seem to be it.
I've been able to get most of the information I need without it, but there is one report that I can't get done without them. I tried using SQL - Add Command for the report but I can't find a way to query it without using a cursor and even though Crystal executes the SQL command with the Cursor the data pulled from the Cursor doesn't show up. Frustrating.

You may need permissions granted for the views in the database (we did with an oracle database). But first check your report options for databases and be sure that VIEWs is checked and then see if you can see them.
