sapinst blank screen

Hi All,

We are in the process of installing SMD.In order to install the host agent we try to launch sapinst but the problem we are facing is that we get a blank screen.I cannot understand where the issue since there are no logs generated in the /tmp/sapinst_instdir.

I had that problem in the past and the installation master was corrupted... download it again and give it another shot

Juan,

Had checked your thread earlier.We tried to download and gave a retry.but still the same issue persists.

But the problem is that it had worked fine when we did it in windows.

Had set display variable and sapinst_jre_home.Initial popup comes with sap netweaver then the next screen is completely white.Thanks.

Is the DVD master located on local or on a remote unit? Please make sure to perform it from local.

The installables are located locally on the system.

OS red hat release 4 ..

The issue got resolved when we launched sapinst in a system where we had admin rights.Thanks.

Hope you are diverting your GUI display from UNIX to your local desktop?
