Paternity leave

HI SAP Gurus,

We have configured the paternity configuration and using this since 2 years. At present when an employee wan't to avail this paternity leave during the period in october, that particular absence quota type is not showing in PA30 for the infotype 2006.

The joining period of an employee is 05.02.2010. If i selected from the period 01.01.2010 then only it is showing. If i selected for the same employee from 01.01.1800 to 31.12.9999 it is not showing.

In the same way i checked to several male employees basing on their joining perioids.

What is the logic behind this, i am unable to understand.

I think this is not the accumulation of particular quota type at the beginning of the year. Here it is not showing to all the employees as it is default quota type to all.

Check Infotype 0080 -Maternity Protection/Parental Leave

check you configuration you might have configured that leave quota only to accumulate at the starting of the year.
