Crystall Reports installation on install shield

I am deploying a project developed on vs2010 and crystall reports 2008. When i install the program to a client, using visual studio installer all i have to do is run a CRRuntime_12_2_mlb file and everything works fine. However if i use the install shield to deploy the program, it fails to run my reports. i have also tried to run the CRRuntime_12_2_mlb file but still it wont. maybe i am missing a step on install shield can someone help me out?

CR 2008 is not supported on VS2010, only CRVS2010 is. See the following blog for more info:
