Hello Experts,
We have a scenario where the contact details can be same such as email addresss/First Name/Last Name etc but only what is differs is their Marketing Area.
Now for permission update using Landing Page, how can I identify the unique contact using Marketing Area. I saw a BADI which can be used to identify unique contact based on few inputs, but it doesn't have Marketing Area field under contact structure in it.
Can you provide any other way which can be used to identify the contact uniqueness?
I am using Marketing Cloud.
Thanks,
Hi Mayank,
Please have a look to this blog, it is not exactly the same objective but maybe you could use the same approach? Let us know.

Hi Ajit,
My scenario is that the 2 contact person exists with 2 different marketing areas. Now if the contact person from one marketing area access the landing page then the permission wont get updated because with the email address there are two contact person exists. Ideally if the marketing area scenario is enabled then contact should be identified as unique using Marketing area as well.
Therefore in Landing page i couldn't find a field to add marketing area as attribute.
Hi Mayank,
So you have multiple contacts with same email address in different marketing areas?

Hi Mayank,
Maybe you can make use of your "Marketing Area" to identify right contact with this approach explained in this blog

Hi Hakan,
Thanks for your suggestion. But my issue in Cloud is that i am unable to identify the unique contact so that the contact details can be updated.
If i enter Email address/First Name etc on the Landing Page then the contact cannot be uniquely identified. Only Marketing Area can identify the uniquesness of the contact.
But Marketing area field is not available as part of input field. Ideally while creating a landing page the Marketing area is assigned and therefore the contact search on Landing page input should consider Marketing area as well, but currently it is not considering.
Thanks,
Mayank
