Hi All

I have a query

I am currently on SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprisex 110 on Windows 2003 64 bit and SQL server 2005. This is a non unicode version,

I now need to upgrade the system to ECC6,0 EHP4, My query is

1. Can I directly upgrade the system to ECC6,0 EHP4. In such a case which export files shall i use. Is it the ones in

Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group" SAP Application Components" SAP ERP" SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE" EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0

2. Can I upgrade to ECC6.0 EHP4 in a non unicode version itself. I am finding seperate upgrade master cds in ECC6.0 link for unicode and non unicode but in EHP4 link i am findling only one upgrade master as

1. EXE 51036889_1 BS 7 SR1 Upgrade Master 1/2

2. RAR 51036889_2 BS 7 SR1 Upgrade Master 2/2

Please advice

Regards

Lokesh

Those DVDs contain both non-unicode and unicode upgrades.

You have to use Solution Manager to generate an XML file with the integrated addons you will need.

Be aware that if you plan to connect a Portal you must migrate to Unicode, non-Unicode backends are deprecated.

Hi Markus

Thanks for the update

That means i can use the export and upgrade master DVDs from the ECC6.0 EHP4 link directly. Also, won't the export DVDs contain the required patche and packages for the upgraded version or do i still need solman for the same.

You have to use the Solman to find packages by running a maintenance transaction for EHP4 . Only proceed with the support packages and patches which are selected by the maintenance transaction for EHP4 in Solution Manager.
