Splitting the cost of one material to multiple PC

So here is the scenario:

I have one material A, that costs $XXX, and when I'm creating a sales order, I need to split it to 3 profit centers (79%, 11%, 10% to each). So far we have came up with this: add the same material A 3 times in sales order, put different PC for each, and split the cost according to above percentage. But it looks confusing on the billing document. Is there some other way to do this?

In one of my previous jobs, there was a similar requirement but with splitting the revenue. To do that, different pricing conditions were introduced, one per each entity that was getting a piece of the revenue. Then there were some user exits / custom programs that translated it into proper postings. This was a nightmare to support, tbh.

I'd suggest to look into doing this on FI-CO side or maybe abandoning the idea altogether. Too many times maintaining such processes costs more than any benefit they offer.
