How to implement the Search Functionality in SAP Fiori Element List Report

Hello everyone,

I've implemented a custom SAP Fiori Element List Report and the search function works okay with any query string. However when I enter the search string "test" this is what's sent over to the oData Server:

GET USERS?$skip=0&$top=25&search=TEST&$select=LASTNAME,FIRSTNAME,USERID,EMAIL,ID&$inlinecount=allpage

and I am returned exception 9620006: Query generation failed.

What am I supposed to do to implement the search function?

Regards

I'm using HANA 1.x on SCP and, therefore, SAP Web Workbench for HANA (CDS view).

I have created an hdbdd file (to define the table) and an xsodata service to expose the service and the relationship to other tables.

If you are using ABAP CDS, you can straightaway call Search annotation on your CDS field.

As I said, I am not using ABAP CDS, I am using services and tables on HANA DB on the cloud and Local Annotations (Annotations defined in SAP Web IDE)
