Hi,
When we do the transport of Appset from Dev environment to QA will it moves the users too?
AND
When we have users in the QA and we do the APPSET transport from DEV to QA will the users in QA be over written?
Please suggest
Thanks
Hi Dsiemp,
The transportation procedure only transports selective functionalities and data from one environement to the other and that to you need to specify them individually. You need to follow certain proedures as well for the same. The users are not at all transported automatically, as each of the separate environments have separate authorizations and only those users who have been authorised for the same have access to that particular environment.
Hope this helps.

Poonam

Hi,
Users will not be moved along with Appset transport request. You have to create users again in QA/PRD, because number of user list will be diffrent from system to system.

No, none of the SAP transports move users by default.
You can do some tricks to transport users, but otherwise they are not transportable.
In case you want to move users in BPC following guide can help you http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/40e91e46-1c9b-2d10-1c87-fac75bd7b4bd.
