In Alert configuration can we give any email ID instead of SAP-PI login ID?

Hi All,

Can we configure email-ID instead of SAP-PI login ID in PI alert configuration?

If not how can we achieve this, i.e. sending alerts to some email ID instead of SAP-PI login ID emails?

I think only solution is custom ABAP code?

Regards

Hi Rohan,

You can try changing the email id from SU01.

Mention the email id you want to get the alerts into and provide the smtp configuration details via SCOT.

Check this once.

Thx for reply,

my requirement is I have 300 interfaces and alert receivers of all 300 interfaces are different email ID's.

And security team will not create SAP-PI 300 login ID's for this purpose this may affect PI licence agreement.

Any way, I think I need to build some custom ABAP batch job in SAP-PI on table alert tables.

This requirement can not be fulfill by standard functionality.

Rohan,

I think this blog would be helpful to you. It is capable of sending the failed messages on every 1 min to the list of specified user and you need not to give SAP UID. Just email Address... You can create variants for the report and use it for various interface

Hi Rohan,

In Alert configuration, it is mandatory that you mention the SAP PI Login ID of the user who wants to receive the Alerts. You cannot mention the E-mail ID in the Receipient List in Alert Configuration using ALRTCATDEF.

If you want to send alerts as e-mail to the Email ID of the User, please follow the steps mentioned in:

I hope this will surely solve your problem.

Regards, Gaurav.
