New exchange rate type in RSCUR leads to error RSCUR071

Hello,

I try to define a new exchange rate type in transaction RSCUR using the empty sheet icon.

I get the error "You have no authorization for exchange rate type" (in German "Sie haben keine Berechtigung für Währungsumrechnungsart") with id RSCUR071. I have all authorizations in the BW-system and there is no message in su53.

Has anyone any idea?

Hi Thomas,

the error message is misleading, I guess it is not an authorization problem.

You just have to enter a technical name for the new exchange rate type before pressing the "empty sheet"-icon.

Absolutely, it just tricked me on BW4Hana.
After typing in the first currency translation rule's technical name could easily create and use it.

This error message regarding missing authorization is indeed misleading.

Why are you defining Exchange Rate Type in RSCUR?

Define Exchange rate type in "SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Netweaver -> General Settings -> Currencies -> Check Exchange Rate type".

RSCUR is meant for Currency Translation type.

As a workaround you can copy an existing entry (in my case 0CMAKTDAY) and edit it.
