If negative stock allowed then you should not get COGI error

Hi,

I Want to confirm an production order,where customizing has been set if no stock for the components has been set then it will go COGI

also negative stock is allowed is activated for the storage location for the plant.

My question is " If negative stock allowed then you should not get COGI error " is it true

If true what necessary changes has to be done in the system.

Dear

Please review the following :

1.Check in SPRO>Material Management> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory>Goods Issue/Transfer Postings>Allow Negative Stocks

Check in Valuation Area(Plant) wether the tick on check box marked and then after select the Plant clik on Storage Location /double click on the plant-If the tick on the paticular storage location is marked then negative stock allowed .

2.Now U go MM02 of the particlar material for require negative stock at Plant & Storage Location & select Plant data/sotrage. 2, thier at General Plant Parameters -Check the Negative Stocks marked for that Plant

If both the stu up in place then , if you have not enough stock , it will allow you to post the Documents .Check the COGI in that case .

Yes

If the check box is ticked for option negative stock allowed in MMR

Then even if enough is not available you can post the document

In my understanding no other special settings are required

Hi,

Confirmation done and stock posted and the errors posted to COGI,have checked the errors are available in COGI,

But need to confirm is there is any link between negative stock allowed in storage location of a plant and goods movement during confirmation.

For which material negative stock is allowed? component level or header level?

also check whether negative stock is allowed in spro for storage location also and in material master also.
