Alternate Group BOM

Hi experts,

Iu2019ve scenario of 9 Raw materials will be used for production. In each raw material 5 grades is there. On the availability they are going to use the stock. I planned to put alternate group in BOM for grades of raw materials. When I put the production order it is showing all raw materials in order. Is there any option to get the pop up window to select the required material while doing production order?

In the BoM itself I need to include colors. I planned to put as a class item with 30 characteristics (30 colors). How can I maintain the inputs(pigments) for the color. I need to give pigments as a raw material. How can I address?

Hi Narendaran,

For alternate group :

1. Ensure that you have maintained the correct strategy,

2. So based on this it will work.

For RM with colours,

1. If you are working with class item then you need to work with variant configuration.

2. so that based on the selection screen data the value will be used to fetch the correct rawmaterial.

3. This requires more discussoin.
