BOXI 3.1 installation on VMWare machine

HI Experts,

We are planning to install BOXI 3.1 on VMWare machine (Windows Server 2008- 64 bit). Is there ant special recommendations for this. Whats the best practice for this and whats the minimum server configuration.

Hi,

we are running BOXI 3.1 on Windows Server 2008 64-bit on VMware without problems. As already indicated, just make sure you have sufficient resources.

The main issue is the performance in VMWare, you should have enough RAM on the machine so that you can dedicate at least 2GB RAM on the vmware machine, otherwise there will be issues. I could not do it on vmware as i had only 2GB RAM on my laptop and there were many issue regarding the services not starting up. Then I partitioned my laptop and installed a separate instance of Windows 2008 32 bit.
