IT0416: Compensating Carry Forward Leaves

Hi Experts,

We have carry forwarded leave system in our organization, which is carried forward as Encashable Leaves.

But while compensating the leaves, the system is allowing compensating for only current year Encashable Leaves.

When I checked the configuration, it is set only for Encashable Leaves.

Is there a possibility to combine both Encashable and CarryForward Leaves for compensation?

Please help.

    check the deduction end date of the absence quota you are trying to encash. deduction end date should be till this year to encash a quota.

      to compensate 03 carry forward leave, you have to include this quota to your quota model in the configuration and assign the same wage type which is assigned to the 01 quota. but by this method you will have to create two records in 0416 infotype.

      other way around is -

      if the quotas are being generated through time evaluation

      create two records in 2013 quota correction. first record to increase 01 quota by 40 and second record to decrease 03 quota by 40. in the next time evaluation run quotas will be adjusted. then you can compensate through single record.

    either you have a config which transfer the remaining quota at the year end to the one you compensate

    using rules or pcrs in your schema

    For Quota Carry forward, please refer the

    consulting note nr. 411854.

    In this note you will be able to find a very detailed description of

    the solution for your issue. More precisely the:

    "Scenario 1): a positive remainder exists at the deduction end date

    of an absence quota.

    An example for this is an absence quota of type 'Annual leave' the

    employee has not used up completely.

    Possible procedures:

    1.1) The remaining quota should be transferred to a new quota" can also review the on-line documentation in the following IMG:

    Check the rule TQTR in pe02.

    or just allow both quotas to be compensated in configuration of time quota compensation in SPR0 under time management

    You can create a deduction rule which includes both types of leave quotas and assign this rule to your compensation method.
