TCODE SCMP

Hi Abapers,

Could anyone tell the logic behind the SCMP - How it is comparing the two tables for different clients.

Thanks and Regards,

Pavan KK

    Hi!

Actually we are working on a SAP upgrade project (46c -> ECC6) and we are using this tool to compare the old and new system table entires.

Because the project takes a lot of time (6 months), and the life is not stopped, there could be differences even between the same tables, in the old and new systems.

Let's see, how it is working.

You have to enter a table, and an RFC destination of an other SAP system, where the same table exists.

    Then choose compare.

You'll receive a list. On the left side ("L"), is the logon (source) system table entries, and on the right ("R) side, the remote system1s table entries.

When there is no difference, the table entry is the same in both systems, the enties will be simply printed out on the screen.

    The following differences can occur:

    - the entry exists in the "L" system, but does not exists in the "R" system

    - the entry exists in the "R" system, but does not exists in the "L" system

    - the entry of the "L" system differs from the "R" system,

These entries are marked with different colors and with an "L", "R", "ML", "MR" sign.

    Regards

    Tamá
